Peak View Park takes full advantage of its location with a viewing station and regional information posted at the very top of the hill, but it’s not all about education.
The snow has melted off the skate park pictured here, but when the white stuff finally fell last week, the skate park was transformed into a snowboarding terrain park by a local youth group. You can read all about that in the Greeley Tribune story here, but it certainly adds winter outdoor opportunities to an already excellent park.
The park has picnic shelters, public art, playgrounds and courts, and a paved trail for walking or rollerblading. Again, I can’t say enough about the views, and my relaxing afternoon walk on the trails with a cup of coffee was just what the doctor ordered.
Peak View Park is located at 13th St. Rd. and 56th Ave. in Greeley. This lovely weather is supposed to hold for a few more days. Why not check it out?
